Due to the continued growth of our business, we require professional, enthusiastic Property Sales Negotiators to join the Property team in our Edinburgh Head Office. We are not your typical Solicitors & Estate Agents as we do everything in-house to ensure we have specialists to advise clients during every step of their journey. You will be joining a varied team of over 120 in-house experts who all share the same passion for client care.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills including an excellent telephone manner
  • A genuine passion for property and people and an ability to build rapport

  • Previous property marketing and/or negotiation experience
  • Experience of managing clients
  • Ability to multi-task

Duties will include the following:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for your allocated portfolio of clients
  • Keeping clients informed via telephone and email of the activity on their file and being proactive in securing updates
  • Presenting convincing, strategic, and creative marketing strategies for our clients’ properties which might not be selling or getting the desired interest
  • Responding promptly with enthusiasm to all email and telephone enquiries about our clients' properties and leaving no stone unturned in following up with interested parties
  • Skilfully negotiating the best price for our clients' properties and always protecting our clients' price objectives
  • Upselling our services where our clients would directly benefit from additional marketing initiatives

We will consider exceptional candidates outwith the property industry provided they have a proven track record of success and achievement and have a genuine desire to get involved in property. We are looking for individuals who have varied backgrounds and whilst property sales experience is advantageous, a genuine desire to assist our clients is paramount.

Core working hours will be Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5.30pm, however, there will be a requirement to work a Saturday shift on a rota basis (typically once every three months).

Previous experience and knowledge of conveyancing work within the Scottish Legal system is desirable, however, experienced Legal Executives or Paralegals with a genuine interest in conveyancing will be considered.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing relationships with clients and having contact with them via telephone, email and occasionally face to face
  • Producing formal documents including contracts, letters, faxes, email messages and all other relevant correspondence (i.e. LBTT forms, registration of deeds, issuing missives, etc.)
  • Responsibility for file management including taking instructions, updating and amending files and ensuring settlements are monitored and prepared accordingly
  • Support for senior members of the legal team

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Previous experience within a Legal Executive or Paralegal role
  • A paralegal certificate in commercial or residential conveyancing is desirable, however, it is not an essential requirement
  • Quick and accurate typing skills with the ability to prepare documents with digital dictation
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Methodical and organised approach with careful attention to detail
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication
  • Track record of working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving team environment
  • Strong initiative with natural problem-solving ability
  • Experience in LawWare or other Case Management systems is desirable but not essential

Salary will be negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience.

Due to the continued growth of our business, we are expanding our Finance team and are currently looking for an enthusiastic Cashroom Assistant to join us in our Edinburgh Head Office working 9:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers and a keen interest in the opportunity to progress as a Legal Cashier in future.

Suitable candidates must possess the following abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills including an excellent telephone manner
  • Previous work experience involving basic finance duties (i.e. invoicing, payments, etc.)
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-orientated with high degree of accuracy
  • High levels of numeracy
  • Assertive demeanour in dealing with other members of staff as well as external contacts

Main responsibilities include:

  • Taking telephone card payments and issuing appropriate documentation
  • Preparing fees and cash accounts
  • Updating cashroom and finance systems (full training will be provided)
  • Using online banking systems and posting cash receipts to ledger
  • Processing daily banking and recording details as well as electronic bank payments
  • Promptly responding to telephone and email enquiries
  • Dealing with fee earner enquiries
  • General assistance for the Legal Cashier and Finance teams with finance, administration and customer service tasks
  • Introduction to credit-control (previous experience would be helpful but not essential)
  • Complying with Anti- Money Laundering Regulations
  • Opportunity to become involved in other finance duties as competency progresses

Fort William

We are looking to expand our busy and successful Professional Photography and Production Department and are currently recruiting for a Contract Photographer based in the Fort William area. Please note: It is important that you live in the area you are applying for, due to local knowledge.

To join our team, you need to be able to demonstrate your skills in the following areas:

  • Interior / Architecture Photography
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Exceptional customer service and rapport building skills
  • Professional appearance (suitable for a solicitor's firm)
