Yesterday saw Motherwell FC in the final of the Scottish League Cup, facing Celtic at Hampden Park.
Fighting for the trophy with only 10 men for the majority of the second half, Motherwell FC were tough opponents for the men in green and white.
Starting strong, the first 45 minutes ended a 0-0 draw, and Motherwell supporters remained optimistic. However the second half saw Celtic score within just a few minutes, followed by further bad luck when Cédric Kipré was harshly red-carded for tackling Scott Sinclair. This led to a penalty, and Moussa Dembele scored Celtic’s second goal.
The end result of 2 – 0 to Celtic wasn’t the result we had hoped for, but everyone at McEwan Fraser Legal is ‘Well proud of our men in claret and amber, who gave it their all on the day.
