The story of an incredible few days for Tommy McKay after the McEwan Fraser Legal #HomeRun Challenge.
When Dundee United fan Tommy McKay entered a McEwan Fraser Legal competition to participate in our #HomeAdvantage Challenge at half time in his side’s Scottish Championship clash with Dunfermline, he won’t have imagined for a moment that it would be like this.
The lifelong Arab has only one leg after he had an amputation at the age of 13, when diagnosed with bone cancer.
That hasn’t stopped Tommy from leading life to the full, and that was no better illustrated during the interval at Tannadice in a game he’ll remember for the rest of his life.
A wonder goal, worldwide media attention, and now sponsorship for Scotland’s only amputee football team, that (naturally) Tommy is a big part of.
Along the way we’ve been able to capture the action, with images courtesy Riki Grauer & Dundee United.
