The Great British Bake Off (#GBBO) is back on our screens and in full swing. This BAFTA award-winning television baking competition which is now in its seventh season challenges and inspires its participants and viewers alike to experiment, create and enjoy their kitchen regardless of ability.
The kitchen is where meals are made to fuel the body, mind, and souls of friends and family, yet this important room is often under-appreciated remaining removed and separated from the rest of the home.
A growing trend recognised by property developers, architects, designers and kitchen manufacturers alike sees the role of the kitchen evolving from an under-utilised space to an integral, functional part of our everyday lives and home living. Kitchens are no longer a utilitarian space utilised solely for the preparation of food; they are increasingly becoming multi-purpose, social spaces.
This change of perspective has led to kitchens becoming more of a focal point in a property, and a well thought-out kitchen can have a positive impact on the saleability and value of property.
In celebration of #GBBO, here is a selection of kitchens from our current property listings which embody the modern kitchen and would not be out of place on the set of The Great British Bake Off.
